About allison wonchoba

I'm a freelance writer and editor from Minneapolis, Minnesota who has always had an ambitious streak. 

Since joining the "Great Resignation" and quitting my job at a commercial appraisal firm in 2021, I've built relationships with writers, producers, actors, storytellers, artists, and creators from across the globe. 

Prior to this, I've grown quite a unique skillset. I interned at a radio station in Dublin, Ireland where I spoke more Gaelic than I ever thought I would - go raibh maith agat, Baile Atha Cliath. I've spent hundreds of hours narrating and editing three audiobooks. I've spoken as a guest multiple times on the Tim Anderson Podcast as a commentator on sports, movies, and miscellaneous topics. In the past, I've also written for the pop culture website Screen Rant (it's amazing how many articles you can write about Stranger Things), and I blog on Medium. I've also helped some wonderfully amazing freelance writer friends with some ghostwriting projects. 

Check me out for more future projects - I'm brimming with ideas and always open to create. If only we had more than 24 hours in a day.

I'm also the proud cat mom of Merlin and Freya - believe me, my Instagram shows substantial proof of this. I also love to read, particularly non-fiction books. When not reading and playing with my cats, I'm taking nature walks, catching up on the latest TV shows, solving Sudoku puzzles, getting myself back into kickboxing and bouldering, and indulging in my not-so-closeted love for '80s music.
